This next chapter will deal with the first front end service that this car has had in over 20 years. Front end service is a bit of a misnomer because there's going to be a bit more then just a front end service. This will most likely take a while due to the shear amount of work and that I have to wait to build up my funds a bit first. Stay tuned.

The first thing I'm going to tackle is the fuel system. The problem is that the entire system has had gas sitting in it for almost 20 years. Gas, when sitting for a long period of time turns int a varnish that coats the inside of everything. This varnish can flake off and clog the fuel system. So, first I need to determine how bad things are.

The main goal of this project was to move the 924 from Connecticut (near NYC) to the Boston area. I had two methods of getting the car moved. One, I pay an auto transport company to move it the 180 miles and not sorry about it. Two, I do it myself and worry about it a lot! Being stupid, I opted for option two. The auto-transport cost in the area of $750.00 USD for the move. I could rent a U-Haul trailer and haul it myself for about $125.00 USD. Well, that's a big difference and that means a little bit more for parts down the road.

In this section I hope to create a Chapter devoted to each of my key projects related to the 924's rebirth.

This section of the website is devoted to my latest project, a 1977 Porsche 924 Martini Edition. Back in 1977 my parents bought this car off of the showroom floor as my mother's daily driver. During this time period she used the car to drive from upstate New York to Westchester County everyday (300 mile round trip). So over a couple of years this added on the mileage.
